How do I work?
For me, the aim of therapy is – through our collaboration – to enable to you to gain insight and increase your capacity to accept both life as it is and yourself as you are.
I am interested in the dynamic dialogue between your early and current relationships. However, we are not just an amalgamation of what has happened to us. Therefore, I like to consider all aspects —mind, body, and spirit, as well as the cultural, generational and societal influences that shape us as multidimensional beings. In therapy, we expand the spectrum of parts that we can perceive and feel, with the aim of disentangling and resolving conflicts between those parts.
Where appropriate, I incorporate meditation, body and breath work to support deeper awareness and physiological, psychological and emotional regulation. This helps create the optimal conditions for self acceptance and positive change to occur.
The healing process happens through empathetic listening, trauma awareness and consideration of the unconscious thoughts and feelings that determine behavior and various mood states. Ultimately, my goal is to accompany you as you uncover insights, heal from past wounds, and move towards a life that is more empowered, connected, and fulfilling.
